Ubisoft’s Press Conference from E3

Ubisoft started things off with dancers and pop music playing. Then Flo Rida appears on stage with a golden microphone singing his song “Good Feeling” totally promoting Just Dance 4. Aisha Tyler comes on stage and introduces herself as the host of the event.

The first video game demo previewed Far Cry 3. The demo started off on a heavy note with topless local girl sitting up on the screen. We get to see Brody, the main character, use an advanced bow with a scope and silently kill bad guys. The environment looks more bright and lush than last time and this time it’s open world. This demo delves deeper into the stories insanity as Brody vows revenge on Vaas and chases him down.

Next up was the official announcement video to Splinter Cell: Blacklist. Sam Fisher is back and running Fourth Echelon a new Splinter Cell program. The mulitplayer feature Mercs vs Spies mode will make a return to this title.

A video of The Avengers: Battle for Earth followed up showing off familiar Marvel characters: Spider-Man, Venom, Storm, Magneto, Thor, Hulk and more.

The conference turned towards exclusive Wii U games starting off with a demo of Raymond Legends. The game features 5 player co-op and can be played through the Wii U GamePad and Wii U Pro Controller. The next Wii U title announced was a trailer to ZombiU. If you remember the Wii U game called “Killer Freaks From Outer Space” the game evolved over time into an M-rated title and dropped the freaks and more into zombies. Ubisoft finshed up showing what they have in store for the Wii U with a montage of upcoming titles. Rabbids Land, Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013, Sports Connection, Just Dance 4. 

The moment everyone was waiting for came: Assassin’s Creed III. It was a media extravaganza of videos.

• First off was the official E3 trailer.

• Next was a demonstration of the gameplay in the winter forest. In the demo Conner was free-running through the snow and up the trees to hunt a deer and then he had to fight off wild wolves showing that there is more danger than the Templars. Next he goes to a camp and trades the deer hide that he hunted completing a quest. After a short conversation and discovering where the target is, Connor sets off on horseback and encounters a group of Templars. New weapons and abilities are shown such as using a whip to hang someone from a tree and more execution kills. Connor catches up to his targets and chases him down killing the Templar with a bayonet.
• The next video was a gameplay trailer of the title.

Shootmania Storm was shown off with a 3 vs 3 of pro-gamers contest.

Following the Shootmania on-stage demo was another compilation of upcoming games: Trials Evolution, The Settlers Online, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online
